Tour Plan
Your safari begins in Nairobi as our representative picks you up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Depending on your chosen package—Road Safari or Flying Safari—you’ll set off for Amboseli National Park either by road or air.
Option 1: Road Safari Package – Scenic Drive to Amboseli
After a short safari briefing, depart Nairobi in the morning and travel south through the Athi Plains and Kajiado County, passing small Maasai villages and open savannah landscapes. The drive to Amboseli takes approximately 4–5 hours, with opportunities to stop for refreshments and photos along the way.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. After some relaxation, head out for your first afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park.
As the sun begins to dip, the park transforms into a photographer’s paradise. The elephants of Amboseli are world-famous for their calm presence and impressive size, often seen moving gracefully across the dusty plains with Mount Kilimanjaro’s snowcapped peak looming in the background.
Return to your camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Option 2: Flying Safari Package – Quick Flight and Afternoon Game Drive
For guests choosing the Flying Package, you’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to Amboseli—a quick journey of about 45 minutes. Enjoy panoramic aerial views of Nairobi’s outskirts, the Rift Valley, and Mount Kilimanjaro as you descend into Amboseli’s airstrip.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your lodge’s guide for a transfer to your camp with a short en route game drive. After lunch and some rest, venture out for your first afternoon safari in Amboseli.
The park’s open terrain makes it easy to spot elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and predators such as lions and hyenas. As the evening light glows golden against the mountain backdrop, you’ll understand why Amboseli is often called “the land of giants.”
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Wake up to the unforgettable sight of Mount Kilimanjaro glowing pink and orange under the early morning sun. After breakfast, it’s time to explore Amboseli’s rich ecosystem and abundant wildlife on an extensive safari experience.
Option 1: Road Safari Package – Full-Day Game Viewing
Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli’s diverse habitats—from the dusty plains and marshlands to acacia forests and swamps. The park’s name, “Amboseli,” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust,” which perfectly describes its dramatic landscapes.
Your guide will help you track the Big Five, though elephants remain the undisputed stars. Amboseli’s elephants are among the most studied in Africa and can often be seen bathing, feeding, or playing near the marshes fed by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the Observation Hill, offering a panoramic view of the entire park and the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro.
After lunch, continue your game drive in search of more wildlife—perhaps spotting cheetahs stalking gazelles or hippos submerged in the swamp waters. Return to your lodge by evening to relax, enjoy dinner, and share the day’s highlights around the campfire.
Option 2: Flying Safari Package – Morning & Afternoon Drives with Leisure Time
Guests on the Flying Package enjoy a more relaxed pace with morning and afternoon game drives. After breakfast, set out on a morning safari while the air is cool and wildlife most active. Watch as elephants and zebras graze with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic background.
Return to camp for lunch and leisure—perhaps enjoy a swim, spa treatment, or guided nature walk. In the late afternoon, head out for another game drive, perfect for photography as the sunlight softens and wildlife begins to gather near the marshes.
Optional experiences include a visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about the local culture and traditions, or a sundowner overlooking the plains as the sun sets behind Kilimanjaro.
Return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of Amboseli’s nocturnal life.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Your final morning in Amboseli begins with the peaceful chorus of birds and distant calls of wildlife. Take in the tranquil views one last time as you enjoy breakfast at your lodge or camp before checking out.
Option 1: Road Safari Package – Drive Back to Nairobi
After breakfast, bid farewell to Amboseli and begin your journey back to Nairobi. The drive offers one last chance to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Kenyan countryside and glimpse local Maasai communities along the way.
You’ll arrive in Nairobi in the early to mid-afternoon. Drop-off will be at your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your 3-day Amboseli road safari adventure.
Option 2: Flying Safari Package – Morning Flight to Nairobi
For guests on the Flying Package, enjoy breakfast at leisure before checking out. You’ll be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled morning flight back to Nairobi.

David handled almost every detail of my first Africa trip. He acted super quickly, got me a great price and made excellent recommendations that were clearly based on years of practical experience and firsthand knowledge. He didn’t abandon me once booked, however, as many operators do. He stayed in constant communication and updated me constantly. He checked in a lot. He even sent his amazing colleague to meet me at the Nairobi airport at 6:30 AM to make sure we got on our flight. That’s something I’ve never seen before. Hire David immediately if you are traveling, trust me. And his prices were the same or better than you could find on your own.Posted on Google![]()

These is one of the well organized holidays I have had in a while. I live in the diaspora and I normally arrange everything by myself flight, hotel booking, transportation to and fro. With the holiday dealers everything was taken care of all I had to do is say where I wanted to go and for how long and everything is taken care of. This has been one stress free holiday and I definitely recommend them especially if you are not in the country. I will definitely use them again for my next trip.Posted on Google![]()

Outstanding Safari Experience with Joseph Ndungu and Holiday Dealers. Our family spent three wonderful days on safari in Amboseli with Joseph Ndungu as our driver and guide, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment he picked us up in Nairobi, everything was perfectly organized. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and Joseph made us feel welcome right away. Throughout the entire journey, Joseph drove with exceptional care, professionalism, and attention, so we always felt completely safe. Even before entering the park, he introduced us to Kenya’s wildlife by pointing out animals along the roadside and sharing fascinating insights. He also clearly explained the itinerary and shared his extensive knowledge about the park, its ecosystems, and its wildlife. Thanks to his experience and communication with other guides, we saw an incredible variety of animals in excellent locations. What made the experience truly special was his deep appreciation for Kenya’s wildlife, which he shared with us in an heartfelt way. With the help of field guides, he explained animal behaviour and ecology in a way that was engaging for both adults and children. Joseph also showed genuine care for our family and created memorable moments. When the clouds cleared and Mount Kilimanjaro became visible, he proactively suggested taking family photos and kindly took them for us, giving us lasting memories of this special moment. Joseph was not only an outstanding guide but also a wonderful travel companion. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and safe safari guide. Our thanks also go to Holiday Dealers for a perfectly organized and unforgettable safari. ★★★★★Posted on Google![]()
