Masai Mara safari from Nairobi
Why Choose the Masai Mara Express Safari?
If you’re looking for a short yet unforgettable wildlife adventure, the 3-day Masai Mara safari from Nairobi is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have in Kenya. It’s ideal for travelers who have a few days to spare yet want to witness the raw beauty of Africa’s most famous game reserve. Whether you’re on a business trip, a quick holiday, or an extended stay in Kenya, this safari brings the magic of the wilderness right to your doorstep.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a place where nature unfolds in dramatic fashion — golden savannahs stretching endlessly, herds of elephants grazing against the backdrop of acacia trees, and predators stalking quietly through the tall grass. Every sunrise promises a new adventure, and every sunset paints the sky with a fiery glow.
This short Masai Mara safari package gives you just enough time to experience game drives, spot the Big Five, and enjoy the comfort of a handpicked lodge or tented camp — without rushing through your journey.
The Safari Experience: What to Expect
Your adventure begins in Nairobi, where you’ll meet your guide and embark on a scenic drive (or flight) to the Masai Mara. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Great Rift Valley, one of the most spectacular geological formations in the world. You can even stop at a viewpoint to take in sweeping panoramas of the valley floor — dotted with lakes, farms, and tiny homesteads.
Once you arrive in the Mara, your safari experience truly begins. You’ll spend the next two days exploring different sections of the reserve — from the rolling grasslands to the riverine forests and rocky escarpments. Each game drive offers a new story: a pride of lions on a morning hunt, a herd of elephants crossing your path, or giraffes standing tall against the horizon.
If you visit during the Great Wildebeest Migration (July to October), you’ll witness one of the world’s most astonishing natural spectacles — millions of wildebeest and zebras thundering across the plains in search of greener pastures, followed closely by predators. It’s raw, powerful, and unforgettable.

Morning drives often bring crisp air and soft light — perfect for photography — while afternoon drives showcase the warm glow of the African sun as animals gather around watering holes. Night drives (in private conservancies) offer a chance to spot nocturnal creatures such as hyenas, bush babies, and serval cats.
Your professional guide is not only an expert tracker but also a storyteller — sharing fascinating insights about animal behavior, Maasai traditions, and the ecosystem that makes the Mara thrive.
Add-On Experiences for an Unforgettable Safari
To make your Masai Mara safari package even more special, consider adding a few extra experiences:

- Nature Walks and Sundowners: Some camps offer guided nature walks where you can explore the smaller wonders of the savannah — tracks, insects, and native plants — before settling down for a sundowner drink with a view.
When to Book the Best Masai Mara Safari Packages
The Masai Mara is always rewarding, but your choice of season can enhance your experience:
- Peak Season (July–October): Ideal for the Great Migration, but camps fill up fast — book early.

David handled almost every detail of my first Africa trip. He acted super quickly, got me a great price and made excellent recommendations that were clearly based on years of practical experience and firsthand knowledge. He didn’t abandon me once booked, however, as many operators do. He stayed in constant communication and updated me constantly. He checked in a lot. He even sent his amazing colleague to meet me at the Nairobi airport at 6:30 AM to make sure we got on our flight. That’s something I’ve never seen before. Hire David immediately if you are traveling, trust me. And his prices were the same or better than you could find on your own.Posted on Google![]()

These is one of the well organized holidays I have had in a while. I live in the diaspora and I normally arrange everything by myself flight, hotel booking, transportation to and fro. With the holiday dealers everything was taken care of all I had to do is say where I wanted to go and for how long and everything is taken care of. This has been one stress free holiday and I definitely recommend them especially if you are not in the country. I will definitely use them again for my next trip.Posted on Google![]()

Outstanding Safari Experience with Joseph Ndungu and Holiday Dealers. Our family spent three wonderful days on safari in Amboseli with Joseph Ndungu as our driver and guide, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment he picked us up in Nairobi, everything was perfectly organized. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and Joseph made us feel welcome right away. Throughout the entire journey, Joseph drove with exceptional care, professionalism, and attention, so we always felt completely safe. Even before entering the park, he introduced us to Kenya’s wildlife by pointing out animals along the roadside and sharing fascinating insights. He also clearly explained the itinerary and shared his extensive knowledge about the park, its ecosystems, and its wildlife. Thanks to his experience and communication with other guides, we saw an incredible variety of animals in excellent locations. What made the experience truly special was his deep appreciation for Kenya’s wildlife, which he shared with us in an heartfelt way. With the help of field guides, he explained animal behaviour and ecology in a way that was engaging for both adults and children. Joseph also showed genuine care for our family and created memorable moments. When the clouds cleared and Mount Kilimanjaro became visible, he proactively suggested taking family photos and kindly took them for us, giving us lasting memories of this special moment. Joseph was not only an outstanding guide but also a wonderful travel companion. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and safe safari guide. Our thanks also go to Holiday Dealers for a perfectly organized and unforgettable safari. ★★★★★Posted on Google![]()
